Today is a huge day for the marijuana legalization movement. At 11:30am PST/2:30pm EST Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-VT) will preside over a landmark hearing in the Senate Judiciary Committee concerning “Conflicts between State and Federal Marijuana Laws.”

The panels will include:

The Honorable James Cole, Deputy Attorney General for the U.S. Department of Justice

Jack Finlaw, Legal Counsel for Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper

The Honorable John Urquhart, Sheriff of Seattle, Washington

and  Kevin Sabet, Director of the Drug Policy Institute at the University of Florida

The September 10, 2013 hearing represents a momentous step forward in the fight for full legalization. We are confident that this hearing will help effect sweeping Drug Policy Reform in the US. Colorado and Washington are being viewed as case studies for decriminalization and legalization, which proponents insist will reduce wasteful expenditures on policing non-violent crimes and open up an entirely new market for generating internal revenue.

Just found this website, I have yet to find a similar site with such an amount of expansive information about vaporizer products and related issues.

So what is the result of this hearing? Democracy at work is always nice.
